Christian Georg Schuttz II Paintings

Born in 1718 in Flörsheim am Main, which was then part of the Holy Roman Empire, Schutz was influenced by the Dutch landscape painters of the 17th century, whose works were highly esteemed at the time. He was the son of Christian Georg Schutz the Elder, who was also a painter, and it is believed that he received his initial training from his father.

Schutz II moved to Frankfurt am Main, where he further developed his style and became an influential figure in the local art scene. He specialized in creating idyllic landscape paintings that often included architectural elements and figures, capturing the essence of the German countryside with a romantic touch.
