Despite the initial support, his family later opposed his artistic ambitions, leading Falero to run away from home at the young age of 16. He traveled through Europe, eventually settling in Paris, which was then considered the center of the art world. In Paris, Falero studied under various artists and honed his skills in painting. His work was largely influenced by the Romantic and Orientalist styles that were prevalent during the late 19th century.

Falero's fascination with the female form and his blending of eroticism with fantasy made his paintings particularly popular during his time. He often depicted women as enchanting and otherworldly beings, intertwined with celestial bodies and astrological motifs. His paintings were marked by meticulous attention to detail, rich color palettes, and a mastery of lighting effects, which brought a magical and sensual atmosphere to his scenes.
