Jan Brueghel the Younger was a Flemish Baroque painter who was born in Antwerp in 1601. He was the son of Jan Brueghel the Elder and the grandson of the renowned Pieter Bruegel the Elder, making him a member of the famous Brueghel artistic dynasty. Jan the Younger was trained by his father from whom he inherited the workshop after his father’s death in 1625.
