He pursued his education in the field of arts at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, which was a significant hub for artists during that period.
During his time at the Academy, Kaufmann was influenced by the styles and techniques of the Biedermeier period as well as by the Romantic movement, which often reflected in his works.
