Midam Paintings

Midam, born Michel Ledent on May 16, 1963, in Etterbeek, Belgium, is a Belgian comic book writer and artist known for his humorous style and contributions to the popular Franco-Belgian comics tradition. He initially studied interior design at the Institut Saint-Luc in Brussels but soon found a passion for comics, which would become the centerpiece of his career.

Midam made his first foray into the world of comics in the early 1990s, working on the 'Game Over' series, a spin-off from the 'Kid Paddle' universe. 'Kid Paddle' itself began in 1993 when Midam's creation was published in the Spirou magazine. The series quickly gained popularity for its depiction of a young video game enthusiast's adventures, reflecting the burgeoning video game culture of the time. With 'Kid Paddle,' Midam captured the imaginations of both young and adult readers, making it one of the most successful Belgian comics of the period.

Throughout his career, Midam has been known for his ability to create engaging characters and humorous scenarios that resonate with a broad audience.
