Victor Geruzez, Dit Crafty Paintings

Victor Geruzez, better known as Crafty, was a 19th-century French illustrator and caricaturist born in 1820 in Vesoul, France. Crafty served as an officer in the French army, which influenced much of his later work. After leaving the military, he turned his attention to the arts and became known for his illustrations and satirical works.

Crafty's artistic career began in earnest after he moved to Paris. He started by illustrating books and soon became associated with periodicals of the time.
