Jose Frappa was a notable French painter, born in Saint-Étienne in 1854. Frappa received his artistic training at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he studied under renowned artists such as Jean-Léon Gérôme, one of the leading figures of the French academic art tradition.
